The 1950's and 1960's

The '50's and '60's were a prolific period for Gleasman. With a clear focus on applying his ingenuity to the military needs of post-war America, Vernon developed differential designs for heavy duty tractors to pull B-52s, and 8-wheel-drive trucks. It was in 1958 that he patented both his breakthrough Dual-Drive Differential (predecessor of the Torsen® differential) and a Tilt Cab for White Motor Truck Co.
