We are extremely happy with our relationship with RIT and the FSAE team. Many of these students become engineers and decision makers at companies such as Toyota, GM, Ford, Honda and others, and our involvement allows these future engineers to have “hands on experience” with our products and their benefits. Also, all of the judges in this competition are current automotive engineers with such companies, which further exposes them to the IsoTorque.

We at Torvec would like to congratulate RIT’s Formula SAE Team for their 2nd place finish at FSAE Michigan.
RIT sent the following letter and Pictures:
On behalf of my fellow team members I would like to inform you of our recent successes at the 2009 Formula SAE competition at the Michigan International Speedway. The RIT Formula SAE Racing team competed with 95 schools from around the world, and won 2nd place overall! This proves RIT’s commitment to producing hands-on real-world engineers who are ready for today’s dynamic work environments. Without your generous support of the team, we could not have achieved such a high standing. Next, the team will be heading off to compete in California this June and Germany in August. Below is the full listing of our placements:
-2nd place in Dynamic Events
-2nd place in Endurance and Fuel Economy
-2nd in Autocross
-2nd in the Sales Presentation
-3rd in Skidpad
-5th in the Cost event
-15th in Acceleration
-Honorable mention for Innovative Brake System Design
Thank you very much for all of your help with getting us the IsoTorque and with dyno testing at your facilities. We definitely could not have come in 2nd without all of your support.
Regards,
RIT FSAE TEAM
